How Cashew Works
End-to-end walkthrough of the research workflow from study creation to insights delivery.
Research Workflow Overview
Cashew guides you through a clear, linear workflow from study creation to insights delivery. Each step builds on the previous one.
Step 1: Create Study
Start by creating a new study. Give it a name, set objectives, and choose a study type (e.g., brand tracking, concept test, CSAT). The study is the container for your survey, targeting, and results.
Step 2: Design Survey
Build your survey with the visual editor. Add questions, set logic and branching, and optionally use templates. Preview the survey on desktop and mobile to ensure it looks right before launch.
Step 3: Target Audience
Define who should take your survey. Set demographic filters (age, gender, location, etc.), quotas if you need balanced samples, and any custom screening criteria. Cashew’s panel or your own contact lists can be used as the source.
Step 4: Distribute
Launch the survey by sending invitations via email, sharing a link, or activating panel distribution. Configure reminder waves and close dates. Distribution settings control how many responses you collect and from whom.
Step 5: Collect Responses
Respondents complete the survey on their preferred device. Responses stream in real time. Monitor completion rates, drop-off points, and quota fills from the dashboard.
Step 6: Analyze Results
Use built-in analysis tools to explore the data. View summary stats, run cross-tabs, and leverage AI to summarize open-ended responses and surface key insights.
Step 7: Export / Share
Export data to CSV or Excel for external analysis, or share report links with stakeholders. Cashew supports both raw data exports and formatted reports for presentations.
